4130 Chromoly
DAHON uses drawn 4130 Chromoly steel exclusively, 60% stronger than high tensile steel, our Chromoly tubing is thinner and significantly lighter – weighing less than many aluminum frame bikes from other manufactures.
DFS（Dahon Folding System）Technology
Invented over 30 years ago by Dahon, has been adopted by many folding bikes on the market. Easy, even lighter, and more compact in 3 steps. By keeping improving the basics of the system, DAHON was able to establish its current position in the market of folding bicycle.
Radius Handlepost
DAHON's proud fusion technology enables the radius handle post to be designed to smoothly connect from the fork to the frame and stem. The coupling system, which is the core of the folding structure, has the highest performance that can be considered as a folding stem by adopting the "InSide ™" locking mechanism that provides strong fixing strength.
High Leverage Quick Release
By increasing the surface area of the conventional quick release lever and using the force of the hand efficiently, the tightening force is improved by about 30%.
Adjustable Handlepost
A adjustable handle post that can change the handle position up and down with a quick lever provided in the center of the handle post. The groove inside the stem prevents the handle from rotating to the left and right.
Vice Grip
Vice Grip latching mechanisms are very, very strong. Thanks to their patented design, they are marvelously easy to operate,with a smooth, ergonomic latch that fits easily in the hand. The hinge pin is of stainless steel and brass bushings buffer moving parts – quality all round.
Deltec
Deltec forms a downtube to take on more of the strain and tension in the frame beams, making frame breakage almost impossible. This technology does not interfere with folding/unfolding
Magnetix Technology
Folding bikes need something to hold the wheels together when folded. Our patented and elegant solution is Magnetix, a pair of magnets to keep things in their place.
Compact Front Hub
When a standard 100 mm hub is laced into a 20″ or 16″ rim, it results in a weaker wheel. To remedy this, DAHON pioneered the compact FrontHub: optimized bracing angles are now stronger than comparable 26″ wheels.
